What we are not building
The rejection list.
Positioning is mostly knowing what you're not. Here's what this isn't, stated plainly.
These aren't criticisms of other models. Some of them work for some people. They just aren't what we're making, and conflating this with them would mislead the people it's actually for.
Resort logic
The model where someone else handles the experience and you arrive to consume it. We're not building that. The house runs on shared effort, not hospitality staff.
Co-living product
The flexible-lease, amenities-forward, community-manager model. Monthly rooftop events, ping-pong tables, coworking memberships. None of that.
Programmed experience
Guest speakers, daily check-ins, structured journaling, facilitated group reflection. The weeks are intentionally unscripted. If something emerges, it emerges.
Content-friendly architecture
Places designed to be photographed. Every decision made because it looks good rather than feels right. We want somewhere that would be difficult to reduce to an Instagram story.
Networking dressed as nature
The pitch that the real value is "the connections you'll make". Maybe. But that's a side effect, not the offer. The offer is six weeks in Norway, with serious people, away from your usual life.
Outcome guarantees
"You'll leave with a finished manuscript / a co-founder / a new direction." We're not guaranteeing anything. We're building the conditions. What you do with them is yours.
